Aivars Benuža’s exhibition “The Speed of Darkness” at the Jūrmala Museum

Aivars Benuža (1966) is one of the most active and prominent artists of the generation of 50-year-olds in Latvia, known for being a versatile artist open to creative exploration. 

To explain Aivars Benuža’s works, the art theory term "appropriation" must be used, which refers to the transformation of already existing, once-used objects (including images) into a new artwork. 

The exhibition is open until April 6th.
