Exhibition by Ekaterina Gryazeva “The Breath of Watercolor” | Jūrmala Museum

The exhibition “The Breath of Watercolor” is dedicated to artist Hedviga Dika, mother of Jekaterina Grjazeva, who celebrated her 90th anniversary last year. For thirty years, she worked as a leading textile artist at the “Sarkanā tekstilniece” factory and was a member of the Latvian Designers’ Union. During her travels and creative assignments, she created numerous watercolor works reflecting the color and spirit of Latvia and other cultures, which inspired her textile designs.

Jekaterina Grjazeva notes that her own works are also watercolor impressions from travels, and that life in art means creative self-expression and following the call of the soul.
