On 20 June, a solstice celebration will take place on the banks of the Lielupe River (Ezeru Street swimming area).

From 12.00, residents are invited to take part in the joint setting up and decorating of the venue.

The exhibition dedicated to Džemma Skulme’s 100th anniversary reveals the ability of a creative personality to continuously change, preserving its identity and inspiring through generations.

The small exhibition “Džemma Skulme. A Look in the Mirror” set up in the Museum’s Fireplace Hall is a tribute to the artist and a dedication to her centenary.

In the museum’s second-floor hall, an ambitious contemporary art exhibition, Magnetism flows through like a vibrating invisible magnetic thread, creating an interplay between works of art, historical objects, life stories, mysterious abilities and an atmosphere saturated with summer dreams.

Both exhibitions are united by the idea of ​​art as a mirror – in one case it is a spiritual mirror for meaningful coincidences, in the other – a reflection of culture and identity, which encourages the viewer to a personal path of reflection and growth.

From July 9 to September 7, the Bulduri Exhibition Hall in Jūrmala will host Diana Janushone’s solo exhibition “Time That Disrupts Structures.” The works explore identity, time, and the body as a vessel of memory, using textile and sculptural techniques. Janushone holds BA and MA degrees from the Art Academy of Latvia and is currently a lecturer. Exhibition opening on July 18 at 17:00.

From July 2 to July 30, the Jurmala Open-Air Museum will host the event series “Thursday – Fish Day” every Thursday from 12:00 to 14:00. The program includes vocal chamber music by German, Austrian and French composers of the 19th-20th centuries. Soprano Elizaveta Galkina and mezzo-soprano Elena Garkavchenko, together with pianists Elizaveta and Sofia Gridjushko, will perform songs by Richard Strauss, Gustav Mahler, Hugo Wolf, Gabriel Fauré, Claude Debussy, Francis Poulenc and others. The explanatory commentary before each piece will allow the audience to better understand the content of the poetry and the composer's style.

The exhibition of Vitaly Yermolaev's sparkling paintings and the romantic atmosphere of the summer terrace are included in the ticket price.

Before the concert and during the break, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the gallery's cafe.

The SUP adventure will end with a healthy breakfast in the "pop-up restaurant" in the swamp, during which all participants will be able to share their impressions.

From July 2 to July 30, the Jurmala Open-Air Museum will host the event series “Thursday – Fish Day” every Thursday from 12:00 to 14:00. The program includes fish smoking, frying, and soup-cooking demonstrations, fresh fish tasting, masterclasses on rope making, net mending, and sailor’s knot tying. The traveling exhibition “In the Mirrors of Scales” by the Latvian National Museum of Natural History will present freshwater fish species found in Latvia. A fish market will operate on-site, along with games and activities for children and adults.
