The sunset in the swamp is especially picturesque. The peace is magically romantic. And nature is tinted with the colors of the sunset, ranging from soft pink to bright red. Important information

From July 2 to July 30, the Jurmala Open-Air Museum will host the event series “Thursday – Fish Day” every Thursday from 12:00 to 14:00. The program includes fish smoking, frying, and soup-cooking demonstrations, fresh fish tasting, masterclasses on rope making, net mending, and sailor’s knot tying. The traveling exhibition “In the Mirrors of Scales” by the Latvian National Museum of Natural History will present freshwater fish species found in Latvia. A fish market will operate on-site, along with games and activities for children and adults.

The program includes vocal chamber music by German, Austrian and French composers of the 19th-20th centuries. Erna Daugaviete, cellist, singer and composer, invites you to the concert “Impact”. This will be an innovative audio-visual adventure in which music is revealed in a new dimension – through water vibrations. The concert will offer a unique experience: using a special “water cymatics” device, listeners will be able to see how music affects water – and therefore their own body, creating amazing geometric patterns.

“Impact” is a concert about how sound affects us, how sound resonates with our body, emotions and consciousness. Visualizations will be projected onto the walls of the dome or a special screen, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in a sound and visual ritual.

BK Kolka ← Dubulti [136km 55h] 2024 is a 136-kilometre trek along the picturesque Latvian sea coast from Jurmala to Cape Kolka, which must be completed within 55 hours.

Along the way participants will find multiple camps set up by the organizers, where one can rest, restore water supplies, get snacks and also consult with medical staff.

The route between the camps is chosen freely by the participant, avoiding walking along the roads, with the exception of circumventing ports, nature reserves and major rivers.

Anyone who will be able to beat the 136-kilometre distance within the specified time limit will be welcomed in Cape Kolka as a winner.

The studio and home of artist Baiba Briede will be transformed into a home cafe “BBB” in a historic property.

The family home, which is home to the world’s only light painting gallery, will welcome guests to the Art Cafe “Inner light”.

Five finalists nominated for the Grand Prix after the results of the semi-finals of the Compulsory and Free Choice program will perform in the Grand Prix final of the competition. The Grand Prix final will be followed by a Closing concert by special guests vocal group FRAMEST and the Award Ceremony.
