Located within the territory of Ķemeri Resort Park, the square with the sculpture ‘Folk-Dance’ is a place that has been serving as a mineral water outlet and a recreation area for resort visitors since 1950.

The relief panel ‘Folk-Dance’ was originally designed as a sodium chloride mineral water source. The water was supplied from a distant borehole, and soon enough, this place became a popular stop for resort visitors.

In 2020, the square underwent renovations. Its historic appearance was preserved, and the sculpture was restored. The relief panel is once again equipped with two drinking water taps, partially restoring its original purpose.
