Explore Jūrmala’s Nature Highlights by No. 5 Express Bus

This summer, visitors and residents can enjoy a more convenient way to explore some of Jūrmala’s most popular natural attractions. Until 31 August 2026, the new No. 5 express bus route “Open-Air Museum–Ķemeri Boardwalk” provides direct connections between different parts of the city and several key visitor destinations.

The route offers an easy and sustainable alternative to travelling by car, making it simpler to discover Jūrmala’s nature, heritage and outdoor recreation opportunities.

One Route, Three Great Destinations

The Jūrmala Open-Air Museum showcases the traditional lifestyle of coastal fishermen through historic buildings, fishing boats and exhibitions dedicated to local maritime heritage.

The Ragakāpa Nature Park invites visitors to explore one of Jūrmala’s most valuable protected natural areas, featuring wooden boardwalks through ancient pine forests and coastal dunes.

The Great Ķemeri Bog Boardwalk offers an unforgettable journey through one of Latvia’s most impressive raised bog landscapes. From the “Ķemeri Boardwalk” bus stop, the trail starts approximately 2 kilometres away.

Convenient and Sustainable Travel

The new express route makes it easier than ever to spend a day outdoors without the need for a private vehicle. Whether planning a visit to the coast, a walk through protected nature areas or a cultural experience at the museum, the route provides convenient access to some of Jūrmala’s most distinctive attractions.
