Coastal Craftsmen's Day | Jurmala Open-Air Museum

Jurmala Open-Air Museum invites you to the event "Coastal Craftsmen's Day", where everyone will be able to get acquainted with ancient crafts and coastal cultural heritage.

The main goal of the event is to educate visitors by introducing them to traditional crafts and skills that have characterized the everyday life and lifestyle of coastal residents. On the day of the event, there will be an opportunity to watch demonstrations by craftsmen, learn about the importance of ancient skills and try various activities - from rope twisting, fishing net making and weaving baskets of scales to ceramics, knotting, soap making, etc.

The event program will be complemented by a fish smoking master class and tastings, an express exhibition of Bulduri weavers, as well as folk songs performed by the folklore group "Mare", which will remind you of the Autumn Solstice.

Coastal Craftsmen's Day is an opportunity not only to learn about and appreciate the diversity of ancient craft skills, but also to be inspired by the knowledge and experience of masters.
