From September 11 to 13, the 23rd international KREMERATA BALTICA chamber orchestra festival ‘‘Jubilate Vijolissimo’’ will take place in the Dzintari Concert Hall, which will simultaneously open the season of Gidons Kremer’s 80th anniversary and KREMERATA BALTICA’s 30th anniversary.
At the festival’s closing concert on September 13, Latvian pianist Reinis Zariņš and German pianist Jūliuss Asāls will perform together with KREMERATA BALTICA.
The program will include, along with piano concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach and Alfred Schnittke, Joseph Haydn’s Cello Concerto in D major, in which KREMERATA BALTICA will perform together with Canadian and South African cellist Luka Coetzee. The concert will also feature works by Gia Kančeli, Giovanni Solima and Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Bieber.
