Autumn “Holiday Music” Concerts – Dzintari Concert Hall

This autumn, the beloved concert series “Holiday Music” returns to Dzintari Concert Hall – musical Sunday afternoon events that combine high-quality programmes with a relaxed atmosphere. The concerts will be hosted by conductor Jānis Ozols, inviting the audience to get closer to the artists through conversations and musical improvisations. Four concerts are planned this season, featuring a variety of genres – from flamenco and Sephardic melodies to jazz improvisations, opera arias and Advent moods.

28 September, 14:00 – guitarists Aivars Hermanis and Mārcis Auziņš together with versatile singer Aija Vītoliņa will perform works by Sephardic composer Yasmin Levy, flamenco and jazz pieces, as well as songs in several languages.

2 November, 14:00 – concert “The Most Beautiful Opera Arias” with soprano Annija Kristiāna Ādamsone, baritone Edgars Ošleja and pianist Ilze Ozoliņa, presenting highlights from the classical opera repertoire.

23 November, 14:00 – Kristaps Vanadziņš Trio (Kristaps Vanadziņš, Jānis Rubiks, Kaspars Kurdeko) will create a jazz atmosphere with arrangements of Latvian music treasures and original compositions.

14 December, 14:00 – in an Advent-themed programme, brothers Oskars and Raimonds Petrauski will intertwine classical and jazz works, bringing warmth and festive anticipation.
