March Concerts at Dzintari Concert Hall
March in the Small Hall of Dzintari Concert Hall offers a diverse concert programme – from world opera masterpieces and a jubilee evening of Latvian rock music to sacred choral works, the atmosphere of Parisian chanson, and a contemporary Livonian cultural project.
On 14 March, the concert “Masterpieces of World Opera” will bring together four Latvian soloists in a programme featuring classical opera excerpts from Mozart to Verdi and Wagner, while on 15 March the jubilee concert “Ainars Mielavs 65” will present beloved songs from the Latvian artist’s more than forty-year creative career.
On 20 March, the concert “Mother and Son” will feature the Riga Cathedral Boys’ Choir and soloists performing Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater; on 21 March, Marija Naumova will create a Parisian mood in the programme “Chanson d’amour”; and on 22 March, the contemporary Livonian cross-genre project “Kuolm randõ / Three Shores” will be presented.
