Time for Summer! Jūrmala Resort Festival on 30 May
On 30 May, Jūrmala invites visitors to the Resort Festival — a full day of events across Ķemeri, Dubulti, Majori and Dzintari. The programme will bring together music, family activities, creative events, sport, food experiences and an evening concert on Majori Beach, offering visitors the chance to experience different sides of Jūrmala in a single day.
The festival day will begin in Ķemeri Resort Park, where internationally acclaimed pianist Andrejs Osokins will perform at 11.00 by the rotunda on Love Island. The concert is intended as an atmospheric opening to the day — elegant, calm and well suited to the historic spirit of the park.
As the day continues, the festive programme will unfold across Dubulti, Majori and Dzintari. At Dubulti Station, visitors will find contemporary visual attractions, including AI photo and video stations as well as an upside-down reality photo corner. In Majori, the festival mood will be shaped by a street food area, an ice cream café, outdoor games and a variety of activities for families with children. Along Jomas Street, visitors will find workshops by the Riga Circus School, a sand art workshop, photo orienteering and other stops inviting people to join in, try something new and playfully experience the city.
At Horna Garden, visitors can enjoy performances by children and young people, as well as creative activities and sporting events throughout the day. Near Dzintari Concert Hall, there will be a market of local producers and craftspeople, alongside stands hosted by foreign embassies and Jūrmala’s partner cities. Meanwhile, parades of large puppet horses passing through the festival venues several times during the day will add a theatrical quality and strong visual appeal to the programme.
There will also be a dynamic sports programme. In the parking area of Dzintari Forest Park, the Jūrmala 3x3 Basketball Championship will take place throughout the day, bringing together both younger and older age groups.
In the evening, the festival will culminate on Majori Beach, where the main stage will host the concert programme. The evening will open with Kautkaili, whose music is shaped by the velvety voice of Kristīne Pāže and a finely crafted, emotionally nuanced sound. They will be followed by bet bet, one of Latvia’s best-known pop-rock bands, whose songs have held their place in Latvian popular music for decades. The evening programme will also feature Astro’n’out, widely known for a series of radio hits and their instantly recognisable sound, while before the fireworks the beach stage will welcome Jumprava, a band that has been part of the Latvian music scene since the 1980s and still draws large audiences today. After the fireworks, the celebration will continue with Zuši, bringing the day to a lively and energetic close, while DJ Kaspars Zaviļeiskis will provide the atmosphere between performances.
Please note that photography and filming will take place during the event. The resulting material may be used for publicity purposes.
Before travelling to Jūrmala, please note that entry into the city’s special access zone requires a daily pass (€5.00), valid until 23:59 on the selected date.
