From 1 January, the entry fee to Jūrmala is EUR 5
From 1 January, the entry fee for the Jūrmala special regime zone is EUR 5.
Important:
At entry permit vending machines in Jūrmala, payment is accepted only by bank card or contactless payment methods*.
* Contactless payments are payments that do not require inserting a card into the terminal. These include:
- bank cards with contactless functionality (e.g. Visa, Mastercard);
- smartphones or smartwatches using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or similar payment solutions.
Where is an entry permit required?
An entry permit is required only to enter the Jūrmala special regime zone, which is marked with road signs reading “Paid zone”.
No permit is required when travelling in other parts of Jūrmala. (See map.)
Long-term entry permits for Jūrmala
From 1 January 2026:
- 7 days – EUR 20.00
- 30 days – EUR 60.00
- 90 days – EUR 100.00
- 180 days – EUR 180.00
- 365 days – EUR 270.00
Vehicles allowed to enter without an entry permit
The following vehicles may enter the special regime zone without an entry permit:
- electric vehicles;
- vehicles adapted for drivers with disabilities, provided that the adaptation is registered in the State Register of Vehicles and Drivers.
Cases where an entry permit is not required, but vehicle registration is mandatory
Free vehicle registration is required for:
- vehicles transporting Group I persons with disabilities, children with disabilities, or persons with restricted mobility;
- persons with disabilities (Group I or with restricted mobility) who apply for a free seasonal permit for one vehicle registered in their ownership, possession, or use via epakalpojumi.jurmala.lv;
- persons travelling to, or transporting another person to, a medical institution in Jūrmala to receive medical services. In this case, an application for a daily permit must be submitted via the e-services portal; the permit becomes valid after the medical institution confirms the appointment.

- SIA Vizuālā diagnostika
In these cases, entry must be registered before entering Jūrmala via epakalpojumi.jurmala.lv, or upon arrival at the Jūrmala Tourism Information Centre, Lienes Street 5, Majori.
Important information for Jūrmala residents
These changes do not apply to residents of Jūrmala. If a vehicle is owned, held, or used by a person declared as residing in Jūrmala, no additional actions are required, and the new arrangements do not affect you.
This regulation remains unchanged and continues to apply as before.

- At the Jūrmala City Administration building during working hours – cash payments accepted

- Monday: 8:30–13:00, 13:30–18:00
- Tuesday: 8:30–13:00, 13:30–17:00
- Wednesday: 8:30–13:00, 13:30–17:00
- Thursday: 8:30–13:00, 13:30–17:00
- Friday: 8:30–13:00, 13:30–16:00
- Saturday: closed
- Sunday: closed
How does the one-day entry permit work?
- The permit must be purchased on the day of entry, at any time (including after entering), until 23:59.
- On the day of purchase, the number of entries into the special regime zone is unlimited until 23:59.
- After 23:59 on the day of entry, the permit remains valid until the vehicle exits the special regime zone.
