The exhibition presents both known and unknown events, facts and pictures that tell the story of the Bulduri area.

 The authors of the exhibition do not pretend to be a comprehensive presentation of history, as it is only the beginning of further research of Bulduri in order to create a permanent exposition in larger spaces. There is still a lack of information and there are many uncertainties and mysteries, which, like the Bulduri coin deposit, which can be seen in the exhibition, have not been fully resolved.

The exhibition was created in cooperation with the Latvian National Museum of History, the Latvian National Museum of Art, the Ęederts Elias Jelgava Museum of History and Art, the Latvian State Film and Photographic Document Archive of the Latvian National Archives, VAS "Latvijas dzelzceļš", images from the Latvian National Library, visual materials from the archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia were used. collections. Authors of the exhibition: Inta Baumane, Līga Strazda, Egita Cironokas, artist Gundars Gulbis.

Jūrmala Museum invites city citizens to participate in the creation of the new Bulduri exhibition by sharing their memories, information and objects.

In the historic Water Tower, after reconstruction, you can view exhibitions dedicated to the history and legendary personalities of the Ķemeri area, as well as climb the viewing platforms. Open daily 10.00 - 18.00, admission free.

From the Daugava along the Love Island, the ship’s path leads to Buļļupe, which connects Lielupe and Daugava. Sailing along the Bullupe, you have a view of Bolderāja, you will be able to see nature, quiet and romantic landscapes surrounded by reeds, as well as a park of stone sculptures. Upon reaching the Lielupe, a view of the ancient Lielupe estuary and the White Dune will open, as well as a great view of the Jūrmala panorama during the trip along the Lielupe.

Aquatic lyricism and politics in Barbara Gaile’s solo exhibition AQUA.WATER

Barbara Gaile’s intentions show both modesty and ambition. The artist’s choice to paint and draw nothing but fragments of aquatic surfaces casts her latest exhibition in the light of disciplined serialism, where every subsequent image is a surprise in terms of nuance and a repetition in the larger scheme of things which has a single focus – water.

The water’s imagery is straightforward, so Gaile’s latest output can be called aesthetic landscape. Gaile treats water as a physical and biological matter that yields to idealisation and sets a certain mood. She uses a conceptual approach where water has become (if I may call it so) a screen reflecting the sky, the time of day and its state of light, the wind and an invisible realm of aquatic flora and fauna that gives the water its colour and plasticity. Water and all its atoms become a scenic image. At the same time, every scene is a moment in the viewer’s consciousness.

All the exhibits are new and never displayed before.

In Dzintari beach, at the end of Turaida Street, an open-air exhibition "Beach of Art. Garden of the Sun" can be viewed.

The project started nine years ago continues - an open-air exhibition on the beach, in which the artists: Lilija Dinere, Matias Jansons, Mārtiņš Daksis, Aneta Jukličkova (Czech Republic) participate in a diverse composition, with a variety of creative handwritings, creating high-quality environmental art objects with technological solutions for creating and exhibiting works -  Andris Loss, Justine Patricija Legzdiņa and Artūrs Bogdanovs. The initiator of the beach exhibition project, who is no longer with us, sculptor Roberts Diners, will also present his works at the exhibition.

The theme of this summer's project "Beach of Art" is "Garden of the Sun", it is both a poetic metaphor and a reminder of man's age-old desire to explore the world, to understand his place in it, to find a harmonious interaction with nature, to look into his soul, which, like sunlight, is seductive and mysterious. An artist is like a sensitive sensor who tends to feel the vibrations of nature and, inspired by creative fantasy, reflects them in his works of art.

The objects of the exhibition fit organically into the sea, creating the feeling that they are artifacts of the interaction of nature and human creative thought. The sculptural works live in nature and change with the changes in the rhythms of nature, they also enchant at night and dusk, when the illuminated sculptural objects create a different emotional mood. In the evenings, visitors to the seashore can watch the setting sun, falling stars, the lights of ships flashing in the distance and see the mysteriously illuminated works of art.

 The project is implemented by the association "Erelde" with the support of the Jūrmala state city municipality in the co-financed initiative project competition.

 

Ieva Putniņa's exhibition "Kaķacs" features three large-format paintings and stone sculptures that combine both autobiographical and motifs related to Aspazija and Raini.

Brūs Kalniņš first solo exhibition "Turn Off the Noise!"

In June this year, Brūs Kalniņš graduated from the LMA Bachelor's programme in Metal Design with a brilliantly defended diploma thesis False Impressions of Senses. Electronic music event. A chance to enjoy electronic music in unusual moods in four different locations - the Lutheran Church (together with the Angel+Beats project), Ķemeri Resort Park, and the Forest House neighbourhood. The music will be accompanied by unusual art and other activities.

On 25 August, in Kauguri, Kauguri Park, for the ninth year in a row, the International Jūrmala Colour Run will take place, where participants will have the opportunity to experience the festival atmosphere during a five-kilometre run.

The Color Run is unique and popular all over the world, with more than 8 million participants every year.

The Colour Run is open to everyone, no age limit, and offers the joy of colour and a true festival atmosphere. This year, the organisers will also have special surprises for participants, as Jūrmala Colour Run is part of the Disco Tour of "The Colour Run" brand and is included in the global brand concept. The Jūrmala Colour Run will also include the traditional Zumba masterclasses, led by coaches from the Baltic States.

Participants will have to complete a 5-kilometre distance, and children can also take part in the children's races, which will take place before the start of the colour race. The start of the Colour Race will be in Kauguri, Kauguri Park (Mazā Nometņu iela 1). You can run, walk, dance or just enjoy the fest atmosphere. There will be four colour points and one foam point.

At each kilometre of the distance, participants will be awarded with the colours. The colour run uses licensed food colouring, which is 100% natural and safe for the environment and people.

Every Sunday at 12.00 from Jūrmala Tourist Information Center (Lienes iela 5, Majori) there is an opportunity to join an excursion around the center of Jurmala. The duration of the walking tour is approx. 1.5 hours, during which the participants will learn about the history of the resort town, see the most striking architectural monuments, and learn the secrets of Jomas Street. Bi-2 are moving on: after finishing the first leg of their world tour presenting the album “Hallelujah”, the band announces a new show titled “Special”. What’s so special about it?

In this new show, Bi-2 will focus on an acoustic style: favorite hits will be presented in new acoustic versions, and many of the new Bi-2 songs will be performed in such an arrangement for the first time – as the band has not given acoustic concerts for more than 5 years.

In Dzintari Concert Hall, the great French pianist Richard Clayderman will perform in concert with a string orchestra. Every Sunday at 12.00 from Jūrmala Tourist Information Center (Lienes iela 5, Majori) there is an opportunity to join an excursion around the center of Jurmala. The duration of the walking tour is approx. 1.5 hours, during which the participants will learn about the history of the resort town, see the most striking architectural monuments, and learn the secrets of Jomas Street. No prior application is required. The language of the excursion depends on the composition of the group (Latvian, English or Russian). The tour takes place if at least 4 people have arrived.
