Celebration Program for Latvia's Independence Day
On November 18, Latvia's Independence Day, Jūrmala will again light up with Latvia's longest-living flame pathway, the “Path of Light”. In honor of Latvia’s national day, a breathtaking chain of 12,500 candles will line the city’s main thoroughfare, stretching 20 kilometers from Priedaine to Ķemeri, as well as along Jomas Street. City guests, especially families with children, are warmly invited to join the candle-lighting ceremony to create a festive and warm holiday atmosphere.
Everyone is encouraged to commemorate Lāčplēsis Day on November 11 and Latvia’s National Day on November 18 by attending concerts, joining special services, and participating in torchlight processions.
Together, let us honor Latvia with the glow of light and the warmth of our hearts!
